Tomorrow is World Dairy Day. In 2001, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) declared June 1 as World Dairy Day. This day has been celebrated worldwide every year for 6 years to highlight the importance of milk as a global food and to encourage the inclusion of dairy and dairy products in the daily diet.
The theme of World Dairy Day 2021 is 'Sustainability in the Dairy Sector with Message Around the Environmental Nutrition and Socio-Economics'. The Department of Livestock under the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock is celebrating the day across the country this year. As part of this, Dairy Week will be celebrated from June 1 to June 7.
